State of Mind Cafe is more than just a brick-and-mortar coffee shop. It is also the fiscal sponsor for two other funds in Santa Barbara: The Léni Fé Bland Performing Arts Partnership Fund and the Sara Fund.
The Léni Fé Bland Performing Arts Partnership Fund was established 13 years ago in honor of Baroness Léni Fé Bland. Designed to ensure equitable access to the performing arts, the Léni Fund supports music, dance, theatre, and film for students from preschool through 12th grade in Santa Barbara County.
Established in 2026 to honor Sara Miller McCune’s 85th birthday, the Sara Fund will provide funding for programs that champion youth civic engagement and non-profit media support. Memorializing Sara’s youth engagement and the activities that led to her commitment to social justice, The Sara Fund will enable other young people to lead meaningful initiatives for their communities. It will complement Sara’s other accomplishments such as the McCune Foundation as it will focus on youth, civics, and media.
